Grey Bruce Health Services has policies and programs in place to measure performance, and set goals and targets for continuous improvement. A comprehensive compensation program has been established to ensure responsible and accountable administration of salary and benefits. These programs are regularly reviewed and kept current with GBHS policy and applicable legislation.
The following information provides details on how GBHS compensation policy and programs have been structured to date. Our performance and compensation programs will continue to be reviewed and amended as we work with the Ontario Hospital Association to review and implement recommendations to executive compensation in the hospital sector.
GBHS Executive Positions
As per the province’s Excellent Care for All Act, a portion of our executive (senior leaderhip team) salaries is tied to our organization’s achievement of quality improvement targets set out in our Quality Improvement Plan.
The targets, and the percentage of compensation tied to achievement of those targets, are outlined on pages 6 and 7 of the Quality Improvement Plan.
